| Who's up for a trip to WA? And if so does anyone know of companies who would be able to give us some sort of sponsorship for the trip? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

| I'm in, just have to organize someone to do my run and start some serious fundraising . We need someone like Bp, Shell or caltex to give a direct petrol injection fund. Do you think any petroleom companies would be worthwhile approaching considering we all burn their product , greedy buggers could give a bit back you would think. I am tempted to give Aussie post call they sponser a lot of different sports's and athlete's , i am unsure of motorsports but could be worth a try. |

We've tried to be helpful and supply some information on travel Grants and Travel subsidy from each of the Motorcycling State Offices.
MNSW 02 9635 9177
Mtas 03 6426 1988
MV 03 9482 5422
MQ 07 3281 2255
MANT 08 8983 2200
MSA 08 8332 9000
It seems other states dont have the same process as WA has, and you need to apply to your states board of directors for individual help.
Possibly list your previous state and national achievements and prospective achievements at the 2006 Nationals. If you get $200 you would be doing well, but its all help.
found this on another page, might help. |

Appreciate the offer thanx mate, still haven,t done the figures yet ,I think the cost will be around even if we go straight through by road, only the 2 banannabender's I know of, and the wifey says she has alway's wanted to drive across the nullarboring highway. To pay for fuel we are loading all the spare space with bannanas to barter for fuel . I know I would rather be flying home though. |

So it looks like it's just you and me mx4me going to WA from QLD huh. Got the OK for the cruiser just gotta get the trailer now, got a couple of choices though.
I like the idea of taking bananas as payment for fuel, do you think we can develop a fuel system that functions on bananas?? |

I dunno if banana,s produce enough oil but i have heard of islander's using coconut oil in diesels with a few modifications and a few filter changes , probably only get 1 mile per coconut . Re; trailer , I can do a few quick mods to the old pig trailer if we need to [aerodynamics, paint ] it would have to be more economical than the float, we might have to waltzing matilda over and back and there is no camping at the track I think so we might have to rough it for a night and get a motel. just another thought. I estimate it would be around 8500- 9000 km return so if fuel consumtion get's as low as 3- 4km/per litre we shoul use a maximum of 3000 l

| Perhaps we should ask around the local health food stores and see how much chip fat we can get, now thats bio-fuels. |

| I followed the masses and currently ride the YFZ450 , but i rode a Z400 for a coupla years to learn on , both good bikes the yamaha is taking a little longer to get comfortable on but I am getting there {I think anyway}, and the wife has taken over the bars on the 400 and she is starting to draw some competition in the Qld Thunder X in the Woman's class, starting solo in the first round she should have 5 competitors to battle with in our 5th and final round which is exellent in the first year . What colour tent is your family parked under |

Katy#76 and Bradd #79 are both on Yammy's kats 450 is white with pink flames, hard to miss, and Bradd's is the new 06 black or grey in colour. We also have a Honda that pits with us, so we really are not that bad lol.
Is your wife making the journey over with you? |

Yeah but she doesn't think she is ready to compete nationally yet she rode in the qld cup for her first race last year and felt a bit outclassed , would be happy to line up on a womans "B" grade grid though. Just look for Jon #76 that's my number 2 |

Kat has just started riding again after breaking her tail bone, so has to get her confidence back up again. The woman over here are a real friendly lot, your wife would be made very welcomed.
