Hey Postie,
I think there will be myself Barkla, Damo and New fella Chris coming for easter from Toowoomba alone. I will speak to the Quad rider crew and see if there are more interested in coming to Easter. Would like to see a full grid of quads there. Is that new guy from Yuleba interested in doing MX at all.

Good to see you fellas , speedway noms is only about 15 bucks, good value for money.
I think the Yuleba Guy wants to try mx , though he is sceptical how the stock warrior will handle it , I think we have a club day before Easter , we'll see if he likes it then I guess. He was just like the rest of us bush hacks starting out , Thanx to ATV Action at least he now knows he has a top class Quad MX track basically in his back yard, where as before the Qld Titles he didn't know Quads were active in Roma
Quick Question; how do quads normally line up /start in speedway ,
Is it rolling starts , standing start , grid formation , we were lost without the gates and being all of us were relativly new to flattrack we were all over the place like a madmans breakfast ? [ pun not intended ] |

Hey postie,
I will check the GCR's for start procedure. I do Know that in speedway bike racing it ic usually done with a maximum of 4 riders in a straight line stationary start with a elastic band in front of them which is released from one end or using a start mechanism that lift a rope up in front of the riders.
At Brissy for the stadium event because there were 20 quads in the start we had a staggered start of 3 in the front row 2 in the next then 3 then 2 and so on.

Cheers for the Info MAdman,
Staggered start sounds fair and safe , I didn't notice any start rope , though They do have a green and red light though of course
We all had a bit of trouble reading and obeying the lights come to think of it,
apparently solid red light means STOP
Flashing red = slow down / under caution
green is obvious
If we got 20 quads out there the spectators would be climbing the fences
I'm reckon the Avgas brings out the animal in em |

Do we need to send in an entry for the MX racing for Easter in the Bush? Or do we just rock up and sort it out there?
Thanks. _________________ Mic

MX Supp regs should be on mqld site about 3 to 4 weeks before Easter and mail entries are prefered, it just helps get things under way quicker!
Normally racing gets under way by 9 AM and Presentation done by 5 or 5.30 PM which should give us time to refuel and hit the speedway by 6PM and it should be under way by 6.30pm till 11 pm or so .
The speedway we enter on the night !
Camping at the track can be convenient if you are interested in 1/8 mile drasgs the next day |
