For those guys interested in purchasing dune flag/whip combos from these guys in the states, please be aware that customs package dimension restrictions mean that Barbara is unable to ship the standard 6' whips to Australia as they are 2" too long. This is more than a little embarrassing for me as I have been hawking their goods for a while and have organised these items as prizes for a forum competition. For those forum members involved, Barbara will despatch your flags in today's mail but you will now have to purchase your own whips. I apologise for the whole mess, it seems to have been a heap of trouble from the start. I have attached their e mail explaining the issue. (You have to read bottom to top as there is a number of replies involved).

Thank you so much for being so understanding!!! I feel so bad that I can't get the whips to you. I'll send out the flags in this afternoons mail.
Smile Barbara

Barbara,
Please send the flags via envelopes to the guys as you have suggested and I will let them know what is going on. Do not worry about refunding the cost of the whips as it has already cost you a fair amount to date. Thankyou for your efforts they are much appreciated.

Bugger is right. I already asked the post office when I got them back. The only solution is to cut down the whips but that sort of takes away the purpose of the whips. I've already spent $90 in shipping charges trying to get the flags to you. (It costs $30 per package, Ouch!) The only thing I see possible is cut a foot off the whips and containers to see if they are going to get to you but I can't really afford wasting another $90 shipping them out to Australia again. By that time you've paid $175.00 for the flags and I've paid $180.00 just to ship them to you. Sad How much do the whips cost over there?

Bugger. Barbara is it possible to contact your postal service to ask them if they can suggest a solution to the problem. I would prefer the guys on the forum to be able to purchase flag/whip combinations directly from you as the whip prices here are ridiculous. Let me know if you don't have any luck, I will wait to inform the guys until I hear back from you.

Hey Arron. I have a problem. The 3 orders that had whips got returned back to me. They didn't make it thru customs. On the form I received back it said the packages were too long. They exceeded the limit by 2"!!!!! I don't know what to do. The only thing I can think of is to refund you the money for the poles and ship out the flags in envelopes. What do you think??? I'm so sorry! This has never happened to me before!!!!

Sincerely,
Barbara
