is it the SX or the XC? is the sx wider and set up more for motocross than the XC? _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

dont quote me on anything but i beleive at current you can buy the 450 xc or the 525 xc they are identical bikes on exception of the piston and the cylinder sleeve, according to website dimensions are as follows
Length = 1810 mm 71.25"
Width = 1148 mm 45.19"
Height = 1125 mm 44.29"
these are identical to in the 450 and 525 xc, i beleive the rear axle can be adjusted to approx 47-48" although you would have to space the front as well
initially i heard these specs were going to be just for the 525 xc then they would release a 50" 450sx after however they have released a 450xc and 525xc, from what ive read/talked to suppliers and interpretated is that this is it you get the 450xc or the 525 xc which are identical, if you then want to widen it ktm sells the front A arms seperate combining that and rear axle adjustment should get you to the 48" mark thier abouts.
i beleive most of the talk about the 450sx 50" will not happen any time soon in my opinion as you would end up paying over $17k for a stock quad. im pretty sure Farr has only got thier optional arms and widened the axle to same as everyone else will be able to i.e the 47-48" mark as he is trying to prove that thier product is competative with out replacing everything on it. _________________ "IF YOU DONT BREAK IT YOUR NOT GOING HARD ENOUGH" |

on second thought not getting the locking rims from ktm haha beleiive me or not but ktm quoted ...are you ready for it $2000.00 PER RIM!!!!!!! considering thier $250.00 au imported from the states each so be aware if you were chasing these aswell, rough prices are bout $1000 for the dampner $500 for nerfs and frame protectors, $2000 for full exhaust system. i am getting the xc sorry for the typo however yes they are releasing a mx orientated quad sx late 09 but apparently xc is where the sales are hence why they started with that. _________________ "IF YOU DONT BREAK IT YOUR NOT GOING HARD ENOUGH" |
