anyone on here got a helmet cam?

i want to get one, what is the best brand/type to get?

do they all require a normal video cam to plug into?

are there any decent ones that dont need a cam?

thanks, mark

Actually its no to badly priced, when you look at all it has to offer, and judging by the kit, its also has millitrty use, so the gear would have to be top notch.

which one? the one i posted or the one you posted?

yours retails for around $400 us doesnt it?

the one i posted is around $800, although i think it is a bit better quality? it says the actual cam is waterproof to 10m and the recording device 1m.

reckon if i put the recording device in something like a vacuum sealed bag it would be more water proof? i want to use it on the jet-skis as well!

If its any help I have just set up a Hel-Cam Kit and should have the fotage possted soon (having probs uplaoding to a third party).

I use a 580 line sony Pensil Cam awsome clarity but remember the Cam is only as goog as the recording device. And I'v found Going from digital to the Comp. and then Changing the format so you can see it on DVD also loses quality, they must be an easy fix or I just have to spend the money on a betteer editing package.....my 2cents worth...

Good luck

Jacar sell them for half that price and you simply screw it to your helmet where the viza goes and you run it back to your standard video camera mounted in your back pack.picture is awsome. farnell also (sausage) smith ect ect the rally guys up this way love em.
