Some auto paint shops will make you up an aerosol can of paint to any colour. They can colour match it & for some paint jobs they can look up a data base & find the colour code.
Another option might be to get onto a dealer & get the colour code from Suzuki. You would think they should be able to find out. It is probably on their data base. I know if you give car dealers your VIN they can tell you all that stuff.
I think Auto Barn mix spraycans for next to nothing.

| we are Suzuki dealers [ 27 years ] and Suzuki dont give us a paint code that makes any sense to a panel/paint shop. Its available in the US off the shelf, cant remember manufacturer though, I was hoping to find a commercially made ready to use product that is easily got here. |

Hi Wadey,
there are crash shops over here that can computer custom colour match to a sample and then stick it in a pressure pack.
A can is about $15 and if you are happy that they got it spot on... you can order more from the number (recipe) that they write on the can.
Should be worth a go? _________________ Can-Am X Team

Wadey,
I am surprised to hear bike manufacturers are that slack. I got a colour match code for one of my Yamaha outboards from a paint supplier. He just looked it up on the data base he had.
When I order parts for my Toyotas the dealer has my VINs & that gives them all the details. Even down to upholstery colours. _________________ 06 LTZ400

| To the best of my knowledge none of the Japanese manufacturers offer paint codes for their bikes, and its always been like that. There was won sales rep that came around about a year ago offering exact colour matchs but I cant remember who he was or if he had it in aerosols. I'm pretty sure in the US their has been a couple of companys work out matching paint codes, but their products are not sold here. Shudder to think what paperwork would be involved in shipping aerosol cans!!! |
