G'day guys, found this forum on my random searches on the net. Thought I would drop in and say hi. I have been riding for 27 years now on 2 wheels, and although having entered the quad seen about 10 years ago, my stint was very short. After only 2 weeks on a quad, I rolled it and broke my leg, a compound fracture which left me out of action for nearly a year. So it was back to 2 wheels. Having now turned 30 and lazy, I have decided to give 4 wheels another go. Not doing anything by halves, I am now the proud owner of a 2004 Raptor 660.

Had my first ride on Sunday up at Black Duck Valley and had an absolute ball, although my back is kinda sore from trying to lean the bike into corners, which was never going to happen. Also, how the hell do you control the bike in the air when jumping. No matter what I did, I landed exactly like I left the lip. I could not adjust the bike in the air.

Any tips, pointers or advice you guys have would be much appreciated, and so would some cheap used goodies for the Raptor, especially rear tyres.

Thanks huge, I only go to black duck as I was an MXer, but trails sound good. Do I need to get restricted rego to participate and where do you ride?

join the QQRA for MX ---- also in 2 weeks the qld quad camps are on in roma --- well worth the trip
