Hey,
Just wondering if any quad riders would be interested in proposing a class for the South West Games. The event is being held by the Portland Motocycle Club at their track on the 3rd or 4th of November.
Have been in touch with one of the organisers (Kevin) and said there may be some riders interested in competing in a quad class. He has told me that they hadn't thought of having a class for the quads but is going to have a word with some of the other event organisers.
Some people might remember riding in this event last year eg. Brad Hutchins and my brother Aaron along with some other Hamilton riders etc.
Would be a good opportunity to get some final testing in on a different track before Nationals on the 17th and 18th and also promote the sport to a new audience.
Would be great to get a class for it so anyone interested please get on board. Also it would probably give us a better chance if anyone with an interest rang Kevin to show we have some numbers. He can be contacted on 0438 095 337.
Cheers,
Tait |

Hey all,
Just got off the phone and quad class for South West Games MX is a go pending enough interest. Event is being held on the 11th of November at Portland MX.
Organisers are posting me information and entry forms today so anyone interested PM me or post a comment and ill be able to send you all the relevant details. Day licences will be available but riders must bring flag marshalls and have ambulance cover.
Track is hardpack so will be good practice for the Maffra track. They only have a small set off start gates so if we get to many entrants we may have to run two rows but at the minute just looking to get atleast 4 - 5 quads for the class.
Cheers,
Tait |
