ok

you use ya old lead nipples off old cable cut wire as close to nipple as possible and grind smooth

now drill a hole through nipple same size as new cable/wire

ok now use either some bought cable from a mx shop or like WR put me onto some fishing wire trace u buy in length to make ya own traces (stronger then stock bike cable )

now cut it to length of old cable and thread through old housing (providing you havent kinked ya old housing)

thread the nipple on and i untwisted the cable a little (only just like 3 mm of it) and gave good clean and melted some soldier over it

then i pulled it back into nipple and applied some slight heat and then melted more soldier into it from top

then just got die grinder and cleaned it up a little

done a test with pressure and broke a bmx cable nipple of with a bit of effort then applied same to the homemade job and she handled it easier then applied aboput double and didnt move so fitted onto quad

rode it for 4 hrs today and not a prob

another thing with the fishing trace is it stretches less over time too

i will buy a newie or order 1 this week but will keep this one for a spare and i am looking into some of these soldierless nipples you can get too for emergencys

BTW Jack i love the thumb throttle i find it easier for me to control as i am all jumpy on a twist throttle get some arm pump but this gyro ball has been doing wonders for that great invention them things are

The solderless nipples wont fit in your throttle housing.

You can also buy brass cable nipples of any size to make your own cables but you need to use silver solder to make it strong enough (if your making a clutch cable at least)
