well this how my story gose, about april this year i deciede i would rebiuld my bike my mate offered to do it for me i said ok, after a month we got it going. then about 1 month ago it blew a head gasket so i took it over there to get him to replace it so i get the gasket and he installs it and dosent tell me its gonig and rides it all weekend then it blue another 1 ,, but we found out the head stud threads r being pulled out of my 440ex's clyinder. so i went ahead and ordered studs they came like a week later and he said he would take them to his work and install them 4 me he said that like 3 weeks ago when he got the studs and every weekend he told me he was working so he couldnt do it then today he rocks up aorund my house and tells me that he dosent have time to do my bike after 3 weeks he told me he cant do it. i was like "thats great" then yeah he dropped it off and left me with head studs to install and when they get done i have to put the topend of my bike back together and i have limited knowledge of rebiulding bikes so yeah.

i got information out of his house mate ,that he just lost interest in fixing my bike, thats pretty bad though leaving a 15 year old with a bike to fix,

but owell ill get it going

Man that really sucks. Especially that he had ridden it without telling you it was fixed. Good luck with the rebuild, I'm sure the guys here will help you with anything you have trouble with.

You're definitely better off without mates like that anyway. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Now you have vented put that down to experience. Sometimes it's cheaper to pay the bike shop the million an hour or whatever they charge and get back on track. If you get mates to do work for you thats good but check there work first.

Well stop bitching and get off your ass and buy a workshop manual and learn to do it yourself. It's step by step in the manual and really not that hard and once you do it you wont need to lean on untrustworthy mates anymore

Hip, hip, horay ! well said. Nothing like the satisfaction of being able to stand up in front of everybody and say I fixed that myself. The only obstacle to doing anything yourself is your level of determination Neutral
