Same deal. Have not had a bad 1 from the states. Usually takes an average of 5-7 days to get here. Just don't break the $1000.00 aussie mark unless you want to pay duties & GST & always use pay pal. _________________ If it's not upside down, you're not trying hard enough!

Also bought my complete exhaust system from there, Headers, mid pipe and muffler $375 delivered to my door, and faster than they could get me one here.

The only time I was stuffed around was with GALLAXY ATV, it took them 8 weeks to send me a Rear Brake Rotor, but I got it in the end.
They said they think it was lost in the Mail so they said they'd send me a new one. After that email it was here in five days.
The biggest thing is convincing the seller to send it to Australia. |

My one & only experience buying offshore was ATV Galaxy, thier ebaylisting stated "13 available" so I bid confident that they had stock available to ship, After a month & no delivery I emailed them & they advised they were waiting on stock to arrive, another month passed before I contacted the manufacturer direct (Big Gun), they were fantastic & said they would rush one to ATV Galexy, as sonn as they had stock available, another month of frantic emails to ATV galaxy, asking where the hell my parts were & they stopped answering my emails, After 3 1/2 months I finally got my pipe, however not as advertised (no spark arrestor, no quiet core & no jetting), Subsequently emailed Big Gun direct again & they apologised & sent the core & arrestor out within 5 days, Took another 3 weeks for ATV galaxy to send out my jets.
I may buy offshore again, but I'll be checkin it out with u guys first.
Sorry for the rant, but I'd hate to see someone else cop the same crap I did.
cheers..........steve. _________________ The term "Foolproof" seriously underestimates the ingenuity of Fools.

| Look I love ebay(chinas even cheaper) and yes you will beat a shop here hands down in price ,you should still by from your local supplier for if we all by off shore there will be no one local when you need the goods, |

you are absolutly right ... but while I expect (naturally) a fair mark up concidering the cost of rents and insurances, but some places are just over the top, Myself if I plan to spend over $400, I do the ring around and see the best deal I can get, and if not seeming reasonable I'll buy over seas, lets face it we all work hard for our bucks and want most value we can get. And there would only be 3 quad shops in Aus I'd buy from and one I wouldnt ring the fire brigade if the shop was on fire. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I swear by ebay .... have spent $000's over the years, have used ATV galaxy and no problems, I do recommend Steve at www.techquadshop.com
Ive spent $5k with him in the last 3 mths and not one single problem , always fast service and items exactly as described. He even keeps the written value down so as not to attract too much attention. !!!!!!!!!
As for local dealers, tyres are cheaper locally , and a few other bits, i like to support those that provide the service ..... some Aust retailers have a lot to learn about customer service before they will get my business.
Shop around and save a few bucks and then u can buy more "go fast " bits in the long run.
Just my opinion. _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |
