What jet sizes are you boys running in your YFZ fourfiddys. after doing a bit of research on the net I went to a 170main and 45 pilot which was the going thing in the States at the time I did it.
I've since spoken to a local bike tuner and he tells me that the Fuel here in OZ is different to the stuff in the states (to be specific its the specific gravity thats different) and he says that we can run leaner jets here in Australia.
Is anyone running a leaner jet than what I've done? The mods to my Quad consist of a GYTR slip on, Pro design filter, and the cam mod. TASALL...
P.S. Will a quad fit onto a car DYNO or do I need to find a go-kart one? _________________ State governments give us REC rego + area to ride ATVs legaly! State Status: VIC-No (Nazi's) QLD-Yes(no place to ride tho) NT-? NSW-Yes, Stockton. TAS-Yes, Areas for ATVs + ATV rego, Go Tazzie . WA-Yes, 2 top places within 1hr of Perth. ACT-? SA-No |

better to be a little rich than a little lean to |

find a go-cart dyno or a bike dyno with a dummy roller, both of these will at least be calibrated to deal with the amount of HP a 450 is putting out.
Here's my jetting spec for my personal YFZ
MJ 165
PJ 45
FS1.5 turns out
JD Jetting Red Nedlle 3rd Clip
Thats for a Leo Vince quiet (FIM Spec) slip on DT1 Filter and YZ timed Cams with 12.5:1 piston.
With an MX pipe ( more open) and YZ cam then 168 - 170 is pretty well spot on just make sure your using good fuel and not that crap with extra ethanol in it. _________________
