i've been told today that quads are only going to be a demo at the australian flat track titles
apparently the only discipline that quads can have a national title for is MX
whilst i'm all for the MX title, i reckon that if quads are significant enough to be represented on one level then they are significant enough to be represented in all levels. that includes motard speedway flat track and any other form of competition for that matter, even trials if someone wants to ride over a car slowly on an ATV
i for one am getting sick and tired of hearing of and being told directly that particular events do not cater for quads in the supp regs
those forum readers that hold positions on the NQAC please send me a pm with your contact details so i can keep you in the loop with my next course of action to MA
those who are interested in establishing equity throughout the competitive realms of motorcycle sport to ensure the inclusion of quads wherever viable please email me your details including a contact media so i can commence a petition of names to present to the powers that be on this matter
email to adelaidekazuma@yahoo.com.au
please also indicate your interest in entering national title competitions ie if you would take part in a flat track title let me know, if you would like to compete in a national speedway title let me know, same for motard etc etc.
that way i can let MA/and the promoters know how many riders entry fees they potentially are missing out on. maybe they will respond in a positive manner if it affects their revenue possibilities
i know i'm rambling a bit here but as you can guess i'm not hapy jan |

I'll send you a copy of the Submission to M.A. for last years
Australian Quad Motocross Championships tomorrow from work,,got a copy i think
you basically just have to meet the M.A. criteria spelt-out in section 13.2.2 in the motorcycling manual
if you satisfy or exceed this i would be requesting a detailed response from Ross Martin from M.A. as to explain why it failed championship allocation
whether it be
Australian Quad Dirt Track Championship
Australian Quad Speedway Championship
Australian Quad Trials Championship
.
.
.
hopefully everything is satisfied and on-track for this years Australian Quad MX Championship with M.A., if we've snapped a chain or blown a head gasket with this...M.A may just see us an an unreliable fickle bunch,,,and may effect other championship allocations _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |

thanks for your input dazza
apparently the australian flat track titles for 07 have been awarded to nwvmcc mildura for solos and sidecars
when they wanted to add quads to the supp regs it was declined by MA
i would presume their submission met all the criteria for them to be allowed solos and sidecars to participate as they are holding a national title meeting for this
the same club held the vic titles earlier this year and quads were an included category
there were more quads at the vic state flat track title than sidecars but MA wont let them have a quad category at a national flat track title meeting because according to MA there won't be enough quads take part to make it worthwhile
however, if enough quads make the journey this year to take part in a demo then they will consider including quads in the 08 title
how many people can justify an $80 entry fee plus the expenses incurred to travel say from perth to take part in a demo??
hence if i could get some commitment from quadriders to attend this year then maybe the supp regs can be altered so a national title can be up for grabs
this is a similar issue as was recently experienced at the hattah enduro
that's the strength of my displeasure |

it's a numbers game
how many national competition license holders in the Sidecar discipline
& how many national competition license holders in the Quad discipline
Junior and senior
Are sidecars big ova east???? they aint here
.
.
we heard verbally last year that the Australian Championship allocation status had been refused for Quads in our MX nationals
.
don't usually like taking verbal NO's for an answer, unless the decision is informed and has basis
so we put a document together that they had too respond too, good weighted argument that made it hard for them to refuse Championship allocations....."nearly got it for clubman and intemediate "
.
sounds like were getting fed verbal B.S.
Ring Ross and speak to him
and then I would suggest putting something togetheer with SCB endorsement and other keystakeholders
.
.
but you will need the rider numbers _________________ 007257 where are you???.... bring back the Bling |

just a few words about the aus dirt track title...
having sat at the nwvmc meeting on thursday night, it is not a club level thing stopping quads being a "proper" class for the event its MA saying that if enough quads show interest at this event (12) MA will then allow a quad aus. title for the next event (providing the club running the 2008 event want quads) so maybe, because we have a little bit of time till the event we can put a proposal together for it to be a title race, not just a support class (NWVMC r happy for us to be a support race so that means the program will fit us being a title race)
any inquiries or ideas on making this happen please call me..
Steven Wagner
0419883057
if all fails and we are a support class, please make an attend so next year we can have a "title race".
and the support race( if it has to be) does have trophies for 123 |

for those not familiar with the venue at nwvmcc flat track it is excellent
i'm guessing the event will be run similarly to the vic titles in that heats run during the afternoon and finals under lights at night?????? correct me if i'm wrong waggers (aka compass) |

| Guys I've just moved to the the states to live (the wife from dallas made me) but i would have been there for sure. Anyone who has ever had a go at flat track I urge you to make it to this event and anyone who has thought of giving it a go your effort will be more than worth while. I've been involed in speedway at all levels and form my point of view it is the most fun racing you can do. Thanks to all involved for trying to make this happen and I wish you all the best in getting the sport to where it needs to be. |

ok here's an update
i've now come to realise why MA won't allocate national title status to this event. they are absolutely correct, the interest level is quite low
i've managed to get 4 from adelaide that will give me a maybe, 2 that will definately attend, and 1 definate from NSW.
the boys in Mildura can secure 4 or 5 from that area but i'd reckon that's not enough to warrant ozzy title status
thanks to those who offered support and advice in trying to get this up but with the reaction so far i reckon it's not gunna happen. |

latest info i have on this
quads are support class only
if enough nominations/entries received for this year's events then 2008 will have a quad ozzie flat track title event
the catch is there are only 12 spots for the support event this year.
i guess the best advice is get in quick but if you miss out this year your interest will be recorded for the purpose of determining whether next year will see a quad national flat track title

| ok to try and make this happen and to get some more quads to mildura for the ozzy flat track title, Adelaide Plant and Equipment Service have pooled resources to offer prize money in the order of $300 1st place $200 second place and $100 third place. this is in addition to any trophies that the host club will present |

the mildura crew have done some work in raising more sponsor dollars and consequently the prizemoney has now been lifted to $500 first place $300 second place and $200 third place
details of the new sponsors will be posted tomorrow
as mentioned before there are only 12 entries being accepted for this support race so get your entries in now |
