G'day my name is Nick, i live in Melbourne and just bought my 1st ATV.

It's a cheap little Atomik Raider 150cc auto, i bought to ride with my 3yo son to get him used to the fun he has ahead.
The only thing is i love it so much i may go back and buy a 300cc for myself.

I joined to learn a few tips (riding/maintainence) from experianced riders.

Cheers.
Nick.

welcome aboard nick. You'll get all the advice here that you will need. Check out the www.qrcv.com.au there are a few "members" here that will help you out. Its a very good family orintated club so you and your family will have a good network of contacts to begin with. Enjoy the site and your quads. laughing

Welcome mate.
Your son's very lucky to have a dad like you.

Wish my father was like that...... Mad lol

And yeah I went down that path, went and bought a "cheapy chineasy" as me and the mates called it. But 3 months later I rode a real quad. It was a very scary looking beast and turned out to be scarier to ride than it looked (yamaha obviously) but that fun that I bought one 2 weeks later.

So do yourself a favour and buy yamaha (or equivelant). The chinesey lasted 6 months total before it was bent in half and had no 2nd or reverse gear.

Well thats just my opinion.

Cheers mate,
Riz
