Ok, guys, what is the story with Cowra next weekend. I know it is a club day and quite a few are expected to show up so I thought I would start a thread to get some info for those of us like me who are new to the sport.

Questions:

Where is the track (address)?
What is the length/style/difficulty of the track?
Who is going?
Who is going from the ACT and is anyone looking for a ride or sharing a ride to Cowra?
How long will the day run for?
Get you buy refreshments from the track?

If anyone else has question feel free to put them up.

If anyone can answer these question then please do so.

Thanks
CJL

OFF TOPIC...

REDTED,

I notice that you are from Orange. I grew up in Orange and left after finishing year 12. Went to MJS. You from Orange or just moved there recently?

Cowra Info:

The track is at Woodstock, go straight through Cowras main street towards bathurst, turn left off to woodstock about 15 to 20km out and then it is the first left as you come into woodstock - look for the motorcycle signs.

The track is 800mtrs in length with a long straight and a long right hander

You will probably want one tooth bigger on the front than standard on most bikes, but not necessary.

It is a very easy track for first timers.

there is about a dozen of us going, 5 from the ACT. You are welcome to travel with us if you like, we leave the other side of canberra (after hall) at about 6am. Will let you know for sure during the week if you are interested in travelling together.

you are normally home by about 6 or 7 pm if you stay for the full day.

yes, there is a canteen that is only new.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
Adrian

PS 25th of june come on everybody lets make our mark in this sport!

Count me in for Sunday.

Only thing that will stop me from riding is some stripped rear brake disc retaining bolts. I bent my rear brake disk for the second time in a couple of months on Sunday while riding at Captains Flat.

In removing the rear disc I stripped two bolts. I had to grind the head off two bolts to get the disc off which has now been replaced. Now I just need to drill out the two bolts and pray that the replacements get here from either Joes in Fyshwick or Action in Mitchell, I ordred four replacement bolts from each place, spares are always handy.

Anyway, I am keen to travel down with you other ACT guys on Sunday. If the bike is not ready should I trailer it down anyway to make it look like lots of quads have shown up and are supported the event? I know we have been talking a lot lately about supporting these events and I am happy to make it look like lots of quads have shown even if I'm not riding this weekend.

Adrian, let me know what the arrangements are for Sunday morning when you get them sorted.

CJL

For all you ACT riders coming to Cowra on Sunday, most of us are meeting at the parking bay at the boarder near hall to leave by 630am.

Cheers
Adrian.
