| hi there , I bought my self a cheap 250cc water cooled quad (loncin) 2008 to get me started , its only done 163km and is a good runner, when I bought it last owner said battery was stuffed due to being in storage for five years, so I replaced the battery, it still would start after 3-4 starts , I checked and its not charging, so I watched a few you tube and learned a bit about atv charging systems, I then replaced the regulator retifier, still not charging , so I then replaced the stator, still not charging ???, since then I have found out that the previous ower has change the charge system from three phase (yellow wires) to only one, only puts out about 2volts tick over , 6 volts when revved up ,what do you all suggest to check next, im stumped, any help would be appreciatated TIA |
