 |
|
G'day guys, newbie here.
I've been seriously considering doing a CR250, or any other 250 2-stroke engine swap into my Chinese Quad frame. This quad isn't a crappy 'Kamakaze Disposals' one, it's actually pretty good quality, but its still Chinese none the less. The quad is complete and ready to go, but the old 110cc motor finally gave in and I wanted to ask;
How difficult would a CR250 engine swap be?
What other parts will I have to buy and/or replace on the quad?
I'll have access to welding equipment etc. to make up new brackets and what not, but I guess I'm just asking as a reassurance thing, as to whether its worth it or not.
I think it'd be pretty bad ass if I can pull it off.
Any replies would be appreciated. Cheers. |

most china quads don't handle are a bit narrow gutted don't have great brakes or suspension, frames are made from thinwall tube that rusts out or breaks super early... sure it would be a laugh to roll out when your mates come around and you all drink too much.. but that's the time bikes should be left in the shed..... moreso ones that don't handle / stop / steer / stay upright / stay in one piece.
I can see the funny side, but its an accident waiting to happen.. just don't. |
