There's a pretty wide variety of Quad riders on here, and distances covered would vary massively.
If you do an Extreme Quad Adventures tour to Cape York, you will cover 3,000km in 12 days.
Then a dedicated MX racer might not ride 300km in a whole year.
Farmers can do thousands of hours on a Quad in one year with average speeds of less than 10kmh recorded in the Quads ECM, so the distance covered for a lot of run time is comparatively very low even at 10,000km per year.
A Safari Quad might be 8 times faster with an average of 80kmh and knock off 3,000km in a run time of 38 hours like it's one standard working week.

In the first year of owning this quad I only did 350Km.

I was talking to the dealer and mentioned that he said that would be about right.

I thought it would be a lot more.

I'm still sore from MX racing on the weekend and we only did 18km for the whole day.
Imagine doing an oil change in your car every 25 to 50 kilometres

You might be surprised how hard you ride your Quad too...
My ECM says I spend 81.5% of my ride time below 6000rpm... and that is on a race Quad with a 10,200rpm limiter!

Last Sunday we did 110 klm on the trails and have done up around 180klm in a day. The key to doing big distances is to leave the guys at home that want to stop and smoke every ten minutes or the guys that want to stand around and chat. We do that after the ride. So in saying that I recon about 1500klm a year is my number on board my mighty Trx 250 R.

You said it Quadmad, we have the same problem here. Myself I put on between 1500 to 2000 km a year.
