Please find below a link to the 2014 Dirt Action NSW MX Championships. Unfortunately we have missed our opportunity to participate in Round 1. However, it would be great to get strong numbers to rounds 2 and 3 in order to make the most of this excellent opportunity.
Round 2 - Hastings Valley - 9 June 2014 (Entries close 26 May)
Round 3 - Oakdale (subject to council approval) - 13 July 2014 (Entries close 23 June)
Entries Fees: $115
Prize Money: 1st $200, 2nd $150, 3rd $100
The intention was for it to be a State Championship series. However I no longer know whether that will be honored for Quads not making the first round.
Race Format: 15min + 1 lap - 2 races at each round
If everyone could share this around and try and get the 10 riders required it would be great. I know it is not the best time of year, but I am sure there will be people who would be available to race.

This is a great opportunity for NSW. Every other State gets one State Title event and you guys get two
Now I have to cover off first... that the Round 1 Championship event has not been closed for Quads only.
Direct from MNSW, you have until next Tuesday the 15th to enter as a group of ten.
Any late fee will be waived.
Dickie should co-ordinate this group effort if enough of you want to go ahead.
Due to the late timing, the class won't appear in the program, but you will get every condition the same as any other class.
Now the easier part...
If no quad runs in Round 1, then you are all on a level playing field for Rounds 2 and 3.
You MUST do two rounds to be considered for the Championship.
This series will still be a NSW State Championship for Quads if a minimum of 10 riders enter both Rounds 2 and 3.
I don't think any other state has their Championship all organised for them, and all you need is 10 entrants to turn up.
This is a pretty good deal people, and you'll be doing your thing for Quads in front of a huge crowd.
It would have been so much easier for MNSW to say NO, Sorry. But they didn't.
They are very keen to make Quads work in this event, and run the series every year.
Tell your mates there is a Championship up for grabs _________________ Can-Am X Team

In order to better promote Quad events in NSW and make Quad riders aware of events in the future, Motorcycling NSW would like to build a "quad rider emailing list".
If you are interested on knowing what quad events are happening in NSW, please Private Message me your email address and I will pass it on to MNSW.
Also, if you could please voice your interest in rounsd 2 and 3 it would be great. That way we can start working on getting a good showing at these two rounds.
Thanks
Josh |

If you are thinking about nominating for this event, nominations close This coming Monday 26th of May. Currently I am the only rider that has nominated. I have had 4 others verbally confirm they will be nominating, but that still leaves us 5 riders short of the required minimum.
Motorcycling NSW have confirmed that unfortunately if we do not get the required riders for this round, we will be dropped from round 3 regardless and possibly future MNSW Titles so that they can use the spot for another class.
PM me if you have any questions. |
