Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to advise that rule change submissions for the 2015 Manual of Motorcycle Sport (MoMS) must be received by Friday 21st March 2014.

The Manual contains the General Competition Rules, which govern the participation and conduct of Motorcycle Sport in Australia. Changes are sometimes made to these rules to make competition easier or fairer, to reflect changes in technology or equipment, or to make the meaning of the rules clearer.

Clubs, State Controlling Bodies and individuals are welcome to submit suggestions for amendments to existing rules, and suggestions for the addition of new rules, to help make the sport better for our competitors.
Submissions must be completed on the official Rule Amendment or Inclusion Form and returned to pa@ma.org.au no later than 21 March 2014 to be considered. Submissions will be forwarded to the relevant Commission for consideration.
To find out more about the Rule Change process or to submit feedback, please visit the MoMS section of the website.

Kind regards
Tina Alderman

Why not propose to include trikes to begin with.

Just for speedway and flat track.

Secondly, what about a historic/vintage atv class, mx and road racing have it so why not adapt their formulas to 3 or 4 wheelers?

Thats been tried time after time and they will not listen to reason.

A bigger question rather than wasting time writing in about rule changes that will not be listened to is asking MA why the quad commission has once again been reappointed without any consultation with the state controlling bodies and/or the clubs/members????

Just a reminder,
The rule change process officially accepts submissions up until the 21st March.
A couple of weeks to go.

Where's the Like Button?

The only question that needs to be put up is when will the Quad Commission be replaced.

I submitted a rule change 4 weeks ago. I received a couple of phone calls from the rules Lady. Got a Supporting letter from the Quad commission..... Rule change is going to the board meeting next Wed..... Will have a answer next Friday. Hopefully positive....

Cant get any easier than that.

Get off your ...... and make changes for the sport ... If everyone brings a friend we will have double the competitors instantly .

Hey Bullet,

Do you think it would be worthwhile trying to have something in place with MA that club presidents are invited to vote on proposed rule changes?

This way the people most affected by any rule changes can have more input....

Yes anything that broadens communications is a good idea.
There is a process including consultation period that is already in place. MA pass their information to SCB's and it is up to them to inform the affiliated clubs in their respective states.
Formal meeting minutes are also put on line so anyone interested has access to them. They are not the easiest format to read, but at least fully available.
