Well, I'll say it.
MA has lost the plot as far as quads and events are concerned.
The clubs need either MA to pull the head in, or alternatives will be found.

Is it really that bad, 1300mm is plenty wider enough. If you cant make a quad handle under 1300mm then your got issues.

Yeah, they haven't done anything to help trail riding, so you might be safe there mate. ( Until they decide it needs fixing that is.....)

The theory must be if it works change it until it doesnt.

Anyone know why it changed? Is it to bring it into line with an international rule? You can read the MA meeting minutes online, who's volunteering to go looking? Smile

I'm not into the competitive side of things, but am very aware of it's suffering.
Everytime I go trail riding, I bump into disillusioned ex competitors on two and four wheels.
The popular theme is it's more the way the numerous changes have been belted through. It's had a detrimental effect on club membership and juniors.

And if overseas trends on trail riding were to be followed, a hell of a lot more people would support MA if they were seen to be more pro-active and supporting recreational registration in suitable areas linking suitable communities via locally( as in Council) controlled roads.

In excess of 300 thousand quads in this country, and well over 2 million trail bikes not getting the state or national representation expected.
Stockton users may have benefited from such positive input.
How many acres you got to ride on there now? 30?

I'm sure someone PRO MA will pipe up and explain why they are right, and everyone else is choosing to ignore them.......

I have a lot to do with a historic road racing club. Let me say that this change is nothing compared to the changes they experienced this year, one class has had changes so that 90% of existing competitors now have bikes that require significant unmodifying to compete in a production class.
