from another (happening) forum......
The bike was a highly modified Can Am.

"Posted Yesterday, 08:13 PM
Thanksgiving morning, 7 A.M. I was loading up my gear to go to the mountain and sciot for the upcoming buck rifle season.
I had both driver-side doors of my extended cab Silverado open.

Opened up the shed and lit my bike up. It was idling and warming up. The day before we got hit with an ice storm. I rode in it and my bike was completely iced up.

Dropped the tranny in reverse and blipped the throttle to walk the bike backwards out of the shed. Throttle stuck and the bike shot out of the shed, backwards. I ran after it, grabbed the handlebars to shut it off and slipped and fell on the ice. In doing so, I turned the handlebars.

The bike went around the driveway, backwards, in a semi-circle. It slammed in to my girlfriends BRAND NEW Toyota Camry and smashed the front end. It bounced off the car and went straight to my truck.......backwards.

It hit the edge of the drivers' door, glanced off, and slammed in to the evtended cab door. Opened the door the whole way, hyper-extended the door and slammed it in to the bedside and put a HUGE vertical dent in it almost 2 feeet long!. Slid down the bedside and caved the rear corner of the bedside in near the tail light. Slid off the truck fender and slammed in to my aluminum trailer. Now it turned and tried to go between the trailer and truck and ripped the plastic foot treads off the rear bumper.

The bike was sitting there, digging a hole, in reverse, when I caught up to it and shut it down.

The driver door on the truck can be fixed very easily. The rear door is all bitched up. It actually got hit from the inside and pushed backward. The hinges are sprung, it wont close right. Trailer hitch on the bike took out the nerf bar on the truck, Needs bedside replaced. Needs new plastics for rear bumper. Tailgate needs body work and paint.

Honest to God. True story. You can;t write this $hit!

Total damage:
(no formal estimates yet) but my buddy is a writer for a top notch body shop in town and gave me his best guestimate.

2K to the Camry
8K to the silverado
1500 to 2K to my bike.

Crazy, eh?

Thank GOD for having insurance!
I have progressive in the bike.
They are paying for the Camry and the bike, no questions asked.

My car insurance is paying for the truck, no questions asked.

Tomorrow is buck season.
Talk to ya on Tuesday."
