For the 1st time in years we have been asked if we would like to come a race in 2013 GO GIRL RACING SERIES.
2013 GO GIRL RACING SERIES VENUES
Rnd 1 - February 10th - Queensland Moto Park - There will be a practice day held on the 9th
Rnd 2 - March 3rd - Roma, Queensland
Rnd 3 - April 14th - Tivoli, Queensland
Rnd 4 - May 26th - TBC
It would be good to get a full gate at some of these races to prove that quad racing is not dead in Queensland. |

Well we have had the 2 rounds of the Go Girls.

Round 2 Roma
It was a wet trip out to Roma for the crew that came from the east. Only to find that the sun was out in Roma and the track look fantastic. There was only 3 that to the track for the Saturday pratices.After practices the clouds came rolling back across giving a few of us a little concerns about the track on Sunday. We woke up on Sunday only to find that it had been drizzling most of the night and the pit area was a little wet but the track was looking good just a little wet in spots. The officials moved the securing back and half hour to make sure the track had a chance to dry out a little. Then at riders briefing they asked if the quad riders minded going out 1st.Then starting our races during the bike practices that mint the quads had done all 3 races before the bikes had finished there practices. We all packed up and headed for home through the wet and flooded roads.
A big thank you goes to all the guys from Charleville (Team Can am) that came and made up the number.
The 1st race Cody and postie had a great battle for the first 2 laps then postie hit wall letting Cody take the win and Postie came in a good 2nd with Liam in a good 3rd.
The second race was not much different to the 1st one.
The third race came and everyone had a good start with the track drying out Cody cleared off while Katherine and Liam both battling into the 1st coner, Postie had missed the start and was last into the 1 sty corner trying to make up places. By the 2nd lap Postie was catching up to Katherine then he made a mistake and bogged him after the finish line this letting Katherine to take out a good 3rd place.

The last round has been moved to the 4th of May.Could be a good chance to ride Coolum.they pratices on Saturday race on Sunday.

Well the Go Girls Racing Series has been run and won for 2013.
It has been good to get out there and ride with all the girls at different tracks, and a big thank you to all that made it happen Luke beechey for supporting us with sponsorship.
Round 1
This event was held at Queensland Moto Park.We had a great turn out of 14 riders.The big surprise was that Luke has not lost much of his speed for being so unfit with Craig Blackburn coming in a good 2nd place and Cody Lincon in 3rd.
Round 2
This event was held at Roma. We thought it was not going to happen as mother nature had not been good to the local area with around 40mm of rain in the week leading up to race day.The quads went out 1st in practices and slid all over the place trying to make some clean lines for the motor bikes.After the 1st practices of the bikes they came and asked if the quads would like to go out again for there 1st race.The local boy that made the trip from Charleville were not so keen to go out again so soon but the boys and girl did.The 1st race was taken out by Cody and in 2nd was John thorn with liam pushing him along.While Katherine was trying to stay on the track as it was getting more and more slippery. Race 2 was held after 2 more bike practices with Cody and liam making a clean get away from the rest after John had got stuck in the 1 st corner. The 3rd race got underway before the bike pratices had even finished with a repeat of the 2nd race.Over all results for the weekend Cody Lincon 1st Liam Hood 2nd John thorn 3rd.1st for the Girls was Katherine Higgs. We had finished all our races before 10:30 so we all headed for home nice and early only to get to Dalby where the road was flooded.After waiting a while we managed to make it home earlier than expedited.
Round 3
This event was held at Tivoli Yet again Mother Nature had her rain coat on again so the track was wet and boggy. We had a good turn out of 9 quads with a surprise of Daniel Middleton making the trip up from Newcastle. Well the quads were 1st out again in practices with the track being a mud pit with most of us having around of 40kg of mud on each quad.They again asked if the quads would like to go and race early as we did in Roma this time we said yes.Daniel showed that he was going to be the one to beat for the win as he checked out on every one with Cody and Josh fighting it out for the minor places.Race 2 came around and the track had dryed out with a repeat of the 1st race.Race 3 was a carbon copy of the 2nd race but John sherlock was putting the pressure on cody and Josh.The overall results Daniel Middleton 1st Cody Lincon 2nd Josh (sausage) 3rd with Katherine taking the win for the girls.
Round 4
This event was held at Coolum where Mother Nature putting an a beautiful day for all to enjoy.We only had 10 quads turn up to race this time but after practice on Saturday John Sherlock had a crash hurting his hand and Jayden back sore from a crash earlier this year.this leaving us with 8 starters for Sunday racing.John (Dingo) Lovett having a engine problem in practices this now leaving 7 starters.The 1st race went to Cody lincon with the minor places going to Liam Hood and Katherine Higgs coming in third after Mitch Tippler had a problem with his bike while in 2nd place.The 2nd race was a carbon copy of the 1st race but Mitch had fixed his quad and rode to a good 2nd place with liam close in third.The best race was not for 1st it was 5th and 6th between Kayleen and Gary swapping spots for the hole race.The Last race was a big surprise with Kayleen Lovett taking the Hole shot leaving the boys to eat her dust.After a few coners the Boy had made up the gap and manage to get past her with liam and Mitch fighting for the win untill Cody came from no where to past the boy in the back straight to take the win with mitch in 2nd and liam in 3rd.
