Literally. The other day I bought a 94 DR350 (I know its not an atv but still thought you guys might have some ideas) from a bike shop It is in as traded condition as it wasn't worth them tidying it up and I wanted something to fiddle with that I could trail ride a couple of times a year and just have a blat on the farm every now and then. I have a few bits pieces and pieces from other bikes around and tend to use what I've got. So far I've replaced the handlebars, grips and knuckle guards (flexi type) all renthal from a yz frame in the corner (long term project) The stop button that was taped on has been replaced with a key ignition from a tf125,clutch lever and bracket also tf125 and the manual decompressor has had a lever made for the unit on the rocker cover rather than the stupid one on the handle bar (cable was to short and turning hard left it would decompress) light has been rewired. Now to the point. When it was dropped of I noticed that the side cover over the exhaust had some melt marks and thought that it had been dropped on that side (slightly bent footpeg and broken brake resivour cover -replaced since0 also suggested this. However on closer inspection someone has replaced the muffler with one from something else and the side cover actually sits on the muffler I have 3 thoughts 1 is to pack out the cover some how 2. is to make a new muffler (have my own slightlydodgy recipe ) or make up a new tailpipe section and put the one from the yz on it (sitting on swing arm in second pic) Ideas/ comments please _________________ Tremble with fear - I've had an idea |

It depends on if you like it loud or quite?
I would pack out the plastic with some home made washers made frim cement sheeting
so they dont transfer heat.

it has been sitting still looking pretty for a while, as ive had some personal issues. but hopefull it will be running by christmas.
not much left.
yea if u get some fibro cement sheeting and hole saw some bits out of it it would make a good packer that will last well.
quite bikes go just as hard as a noisy bike, its just the noise that makes you feel like your going faster. |

Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of a good project. Used to have a bike so loud that if I was tuning or similar with the shed doors shut I would have to wear ear muffs Was fun though Thanks again _________________ Tremble with fear - I've had an idea |
