its bad this has happend but they were both not wearing helmets plus they were 2 up on a quad

Yes it is always a horrible thing, but it should also be mentioned that it happened on the road into the area where cars and 4wds use all day to access the dunes and the beach and from what i have seen i don't think the car was doing anything wrong and not a rumor but the rider was under the influence of something other than adrenaline.
Like i said not nice, but i take my 2 y/0, 7 y/0 and wife up there quite often and you get very concerned for their safty when people who are obviously in no condition to be in control of a motor vehicle trying to show there mates how great they are.
We trip well away from the crowd out the front as it seems quite a common thing to be under the influence when riding. Not great.
Don't get me wrong, most of the riders are great its always the minority that get things wrong. |

| This is a terrible accident. But we all no theres risk involved getting on a bike. And we shouldnt bag the dunes too much or the shire of gin gin will give us all the ass, and it'll just be another place we ' use' to be able to ride. I just hope this accident doesnt get used as more ammo to shut the place down. Because everyone deserves the right to carve those dunes up. As for under the unfluence i totally agree that, thats just crazy and shouldn't be tolerated. especially when theres familys up there just taking it easy. |
