spend every cent you can muster on suspenion first, then worry about engine mods, just my opinion _________________ 2005 KFX700

Agree. This will make you go quicker.
But depends how you are going to ride it and under what conditions _________________ Team Ironpot 701 Just Doin It

how much do you wanna spend lol
you wanna look at doing both ecu and intake together really, msd. powercomander offer better tuning via laptop, yoshi now make a ecu with self tunning double the price tho, pipes id be more looking at something with good feed back too lasting rather than performance, my roosier cracked around the frame mounts ive heard gytr do the same but never run one to comfirm, running a motoworks now and so has my mate with no troubles yet.
but like they said suspension is the best upgrade unless u are happy with stock
not the greatest advice lol but hope it helps |

ok my 5 cents LOL
Intake = GYTR high flow papaer filter with a outerwear cover and you will need a billet adaptor to suit
Exhaust = Youshi full system as these mufflers are rubber mounted and dont poo them selfs as i have destroyed many mufflers but not the youshi pipe
Computer = Dyno jet 5, as they have a good tune and maps that can be loaded up and GYTR have a tie up with them and they have a map that can activate the high pressue fuel pump
But suspention plays a massive part on riding to. if you carnt keep the power to the ground its no good having the power !
I have a full set of PEP suspention for sale to suit that bike for $2200 shiped to your door if your keen _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

Hey mate, I went with the fuel customs intake and air box, it was a bit of a pain to fit though, I have a gytr billet adaptor and filter on my raptor and it's pretty good also. I chose the power commander 5 and the the two brothers racing exhaust as there are preloaded maps using the exhaust on the ecu and i also got the power commander ezy tune oxygen sensor as there arnt any bike tuners around CQ. It's heaps easy to use. Then I did the suspension, I noticed the front slid out a lot on my bike and did a bit reading about it and the suspension geometry on these bikes was stuffed from the beginning. Here is a link that explains it plain and simple

Gt thunder do a bracket as well. I went with the houser and fox shocks combo and it completely changed the bike. In hind sight I would have to agree with the others and recommend you do suspension first then look for more GG's later. Really up to yourself, what you want and what you prefer though. Let us know which way you go!!! _________________ Some days I'm just all thumbs...... |
