Hi , I dont know anything major about 4x4 quads however i was wondering do they come out with optional dual batter setup. Just asking this as i see a lot of them with winches that i believe would sux a bit of juice from the Battery if used with out the engine running.

My own experience is that 4wd quads don't really need much in the way of winching, and certainly not the power demands of an 8 or 10 thousand pound winch fitted to even a medium sized 4B.
Hasn't been an issue for me.
I've seen some spare batteries set up for spotlighting, and on a proper ag bike, with racks, it's not a big deal to cart a full sized battery about.
Due to the space considerations, a full blown dual battery set up with an isolator would be a hassle and you'd probably have a real need to justify the expense and effort on most 4 wheel drive quads, I think.

personally there would no reason to not have the moter running while winching, you wouldnt want to cook the battery out in the bush, and lets face you need to be winched out of a situation so keep the quad running...
