 |
|
As above I am about to rebuild the gear box on my LTR450 and was wondering what tools outside the normal range do I need to perform this task.
The service manual lists:- a fly wheel puller, clutch basket holder, case splitter (looks like a reverse type puller).
What of these do I really need and what have you done/used instead of using these items or others
I have a good array of tools and experience in rebuilding engines just never done a new model 4 stroke and I have limited time to do the work so I want to be organised before I start.
cheers

you will need a flywheel puller, motion pro ones are cheap. and also a gear jammer. A clutch hub holder can be handy but you can get away without one. it is also possible to get away without a case separator but it is definitley easier to get apart if you have one (and better for the crank too.) _________________
