Hey,
I am thinking about buying these;
Thor 2012 Enemy Solid Goggles - Black
Thor 2012 Phase Spiral Pants - Black
Thor 2012 Phase Spiral Jersey - Black
Thor 2012 Q1 Boots - Black
Thor Quadrant Protector Black/White
Thor 2012 Spectrum Gloves - Black
Thor Helmet Quadrant Frequency Black 2012
Comes to $637.65 AUD, is it a good price or should I get something else?
if anyone can help me out, I like black because whatever bike I get then the gear is kind of generic and wont look weird also I'm a large for tops and helmets, 36 for pants and 11 for boots.
Thanks if anyone can help me get a cheaper set of gear I would be greatly appreciative. |

So you're gonna save less than 30 bucks getting it from USA.
Do the right thing, buy it from your local shop, the one you went to to try it all on to make sure it's the right size and colour.
Is 30 bucks so much to begrudge an Australian business your money? _________________ Cheers,

Not too sure if that price he listed is from Aust.
Im still yet to find anyone over here that can beat RMATV's prices on anything they stock.
I would buy from here if they did. |

Why not give the local shop the chance to match the price ? $30 difference spread over 7 items is only 4.30 discount on each, I'm sure he'd have enough margin to cover that & then everyon'e happy, added bonus you can try on or return/exchange if necessary. _________________ The term "Foolproof" seriously underestimates the ingenuity of Fools.

All you should worry about is a good helmet. You can pick up good gloves and goggles cheap at any bike shop. All the other stuff is just for show and serves no real purpose other than trying to look better than the next bloke. _________________ 2010 Sukuki

If you just plan to ride around the sand dunes, high five and pat ya mates on the arse like they do in Tassie yea just buy a helmet goggles and gloves, if not, don't take any notice of TasATV he's got heated grips for christ sake what does that tell ya?? Soft!!!!! LOLOLOL
No really if you plan on doing any serious riding be it racing or just fast trails YOU NEED good gear and the prices you have got there are pretty good, for the latest gear!!!
But as someone pointed out you DON'T NEED the latest gear if you are just planning on trail riding with ya mates. If ya plan on racing on a regular basis ya still don't need the latest gear!!! buy close out stuff but do get matching stuff!!!
The only difference is in the helmet and boots if you plan on trail riding get a medium quality helmet look for things like removable liners (good thing) as you NEED to wash them ($150-300AUS, $80-200US)
If you plan on racing I would spend no less then $300AUS ($150-200US) I have seen first hand the results of a cheap helmet in racing and seeing a loved one in a coma for 6 months is not fun!!! I pay no less than $600AUS ($4-500US) for my helmets and usually replace them every year when racing. I think my head is irreplaceable so I spend the money, and yes you do get value for your money when you spend it on a helmet!!!
Boots - are a must I've seen plenty of people break ankles with cheap boots when racing ankles never really heal when you break em so protect em. boots are also a must if you plan on fast trail riding.
Chest and back protector is also a must if racing and a good idea if trail riding I couldn't count on both hands the amount of times I have been saved from serious injury by my chest/back protector when tail riding (rocks and sticks are sharp).
Anyway just a bit of info from someone who has lived most of his life on a bike, trike or quad either trail riding or racing. _________________ The main thing is to have fun I just think second place is no fun

A bit off topic but it sounds like you'd fit in famously down here seeing the Gold Coast is the arse slapping capital of Australia..... _________________ 2010 Sukuki
