I currently own a cheap appollo orion 250cc 2 wheel but I am saving up to buy a quad. (My uncle has two and we ride together sometimes (2007 Yamaha raptor 700r GYTR and Suzuki quadsport 250)). Anyway the bike is on its way out and I don't want to buy another 2 wheeler atv's are so much more fun

I am looking to buy either a 2006 Yamaha Raptor 700r (or newer) or a Yamaha Raptor 350.

The only reason I want the Raptor 700r is because I have ridden one plenty of times and the fuel injection is so good where as the raptor 350 doesn't have fuel injection and is carburetor driven?

At my local bike place (team moto blacktown) they are selling brand spanking new 2011 and 2012 Raptor 700r's for $11,700 and I now need to find an older model of the raptor to save money because my uncles fuel injected raptor is the most fun I have ever had.

Anyway if anyway could point my in the right direction as to where I could find a Yamaha Raptor 700r (2006-2011) for under $11,000 I would be greatly appreciative

Hey

thanks but its twist throttle :S how hard would it be to change it back to the thumb throttle?

also I found this: is it any good? http://www.bikesales.com.au/all-bikes/private/details.aspx?seot=1&R=11936855&silo=1408&__Ns=pCar_RankSort_Int32%7c1%7c%7cpCar_Price_Decimal%7c1%7c%7cpCar_Make_String%7c0%7c%7cpCar_Model_String%7c0&Cr=&trecs=10&__N=1432%201429%201428%204294967267%204294957989

Changing the throttle back is pretty simple and if the seller still has the stock assembly it wont cost you any extra. Both bikes are stock and look in good nick from the pics. You aren't getting anything extra from the Limited Edition other than the color scheme as the '08 onwards came with piggyback shocks standard. Most stock Raptors this age should be around this price range so you should be looking at engine hours and overall condition to make your decision. A test ride will tell you whether the motor is any good. They didn't change too much from '07 onwards except for graphics and the dash so don't worry too much about the actual year of manufacture.

ok thank you so much Smile

The colour doesn't bother me to much. Also I just asked the guy if he still has the original throttle for the bike for the 2007 limited edition, he hasn't responded yet though.

The only thing is the bikes are really far away from me Sad

The one at Manning point is 4 hours away and the one at Cobar is 7 hours away :S Is it worth the drive(s) to see them and test them?
