As much as I hate learning new stuff I think I'm ready for something more. Just did a search and Cyberlink PowerDirector came up as number 1 for ease of use and features.
Anyone use it? _________________ "Happiness is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it but only you can feel it"

Well there's 2 ways I know of. First is just click on the vid so it comes up in screen to play. Click play and get to the part you want to cut out then pause and click on split. It will then put that up in the area where the original is so now you will have both up there to drag down to the time line.
Second way and the way I do it most is drag your clip down to the story board/time line, hover your mouse over the beginning or end until you see red arrow, left click and hold while you drag the mouse until you have cut what you want out. Now it will be gone and you can continue to do that as many times as you want. Hope that's clear enough.....it's easier to show someone than try to explain. _________________ "Happiness is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it but only you can feel it"

Heres a bit of a tutorial that might help. Depending on which version of movie maker you have some things might look a little different but overall they are the same.

The Mac is the way to go, windows based computers just dont cut it when it comes to design.
I use Final Cut Pro X, just plug the gopro in and the program does the rest, one of the best investments you can buy is a Mac, no more windows pc rage, spam mail, freeze ups or viruses |
