I got one in the 450, great in technical stuff but just broke the stock basket and 3 friction plates when we had it down at the dunes. Would I buy one again? Prob not. _________________ "Happiness is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it but only you can feel it"

Not sure on other models. Mine is the z start pro......you can use it like a normal clutch if you like but the lever has no feel until you get the revs upto about 3-4k. I think you can use aftermarket baskets as well. _________________ "Happiness is like peeing your pants, everyone can see it but only you can feel it"

Ive got the Z-Start Pro in my TRX450R, there the best thing, couldnt live without it, especially for enduro racing, no more clutch pulling, cant stall it, if you get bogged you can get off with it still in gear and lift the rear, get back on and go, if your in the wrong gear it will slip the clutch for you, makes big hill climbing a breeze, etc....... Only problem I have is riding someone elses quad as I tend to stall theres all the time when stoping (gotta pull the clutch in) _________________ Has turned to the Dark Side! |

I had one in my YFZ450 and loved it, esp for tight trails and enduros, will be looking at putting one in the LTR once the rest of it is sorted out too. _________________

I have one in my LTR and I love it...especially for MX where I can lock up the rear wheels and not have to worry about pulling in the clutch, and then just power away.
If you are looking at one, Suttos sell them, and I am pretty sure they are the same price as US versions, plus you get the local warranty. I had a problem with a clip on mine and they sent me a new clip no dramas _________________ Team Ironpot 701 Just Doin It

Tried mine in the bush for the first time last week when we went riding Buzz. As Clarkie and Pete have said they are absolutely awesome for trail work. Would be hard to go back to a stock clutch after becoming accustomed to it. I have the z start pro as well. Brought mine from Lenny " nearly the best quad rider on the planet" Pipiciellllllo. ATVPRO sold me mine cheaper than importing from the states and $200 cheaper than any other quote in Oz. _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

Hey Surfin and Dingo555 I can understand you guys are needing a slipper clutch as the arthritis in the hands would have to be starting to play up a bit hey (clutch too heavy to pull in) and the your reaction times are getting slower hence the stalling in the corners. Bit of a pain this age thing hey!!!! lololol

Hey Neil, have you managed to beat the times set on a dead stocker Zook around the 2 Manar flat tracks. I do believe the natural terrain track time is still yet to be bettered _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

If i have arthritis and slow reaction times then what is your excuse?? going by this I should only ever see the rear of your quad...but I can't say this is the case _________________ Team Ironpot 701 Just Doin It
