I have just finished making a set of monster pegs to fit my DS450xmx standard nerf bars (way cheaper than buying a full set of nerf bars just for a footpeg). I was unable to get hold of a rust proof material, that was still strong enough to do what I needed it to.
What coating would be best for these, so they look good, strong coat that wont come off easily? Powerder Coating, hot dip galvanising, any other options?

Powder coating would work well, look good and would just wear off on the top teeth.
They usually charge a minimum rate so might be worth getting a few other bits done at the same time to make it more cost effective

Get them zinc coated...
Not as soft as galv.
And looks better, like a gold/yellow look.
Its done by electro plating company's,
