just to let people know that the up to 1400mm wide rule has been passed for quad speedway only by M.A. i feel this is a rule that need to stay the same for speedway for saftey and am thankful that it has been put back _________________ yeah mate nah

Good work Jimmy, just hope you have it in writing, wouldnt want to see it denied later on when someone else queries it. _________________ Rotax46

| honestly how wide do you really want your quad ,+2 aarms, wheel spacers and 4,1 offset thats just dangerous puts geometry completely out ,your ball joints will cop a flogging, ill keep mine safe !!! |

hey barn have u been down to gillman and watched the guys, had a look at there bikes?????? some run under 1300 some run over.ive had my bike over 1300 for over 3 years and no stress on any parts mate.it not like motocross or enduros where they take a punishment with jumps and stuff.but if u take into consideration that we race with a wall some of the guys over here that have been doing it for a while like to have there bikes as wide as posible so do urself a favour and come and have a geez _________________ yeah mate nah |

not wanting to get into a argument but yes i have ,when i use to race my banshee on motard and broke numerous ball joints, now have two ltrs one set up for speedway and one for motocross both long travel +1/2 inch wider with 4 in /1 out offset rims, and sway bar and find it easier to control, would think it would be awesome to come and race with you guys but the travel for 3 heats and a final and $600 fuel bill doesn't sound attractive ,
I do hear mels bike was one of the fastest down there and i know he runs standard a arms and 3/2 offset rims ,correct me if im wrong |

u r true about mels bike being one of the fastest buthe not the only one out there. true lets not get into a argument lots of people have different set ups and thats what makes speedway so interesting.i know ive won a state title with a 1380mm wide bike and i know dan is looking to put his spacers on . _________________ yeah mate nah |

i agree in some respects as there have been some bikes just over the specified width after lowering and putting different offsets on standard bikes but 1400 come on if you want the sport to grow keep it simple will, there walls on most tracks dont know what gillman track like as way to far to travel but after doing tamworth long track 5th gear flat out, i dont think that extra width would make that much difference, i use my quad for all racing, speedway, dirt track mx and enduro, and i adjust suspension to suit and run all standard offsets for rims all i do is lower fox floats and lowering link on the rear and it rock solid i dont think extra width do much more it gets to a point were it about the power, which my suzuki is dead stock but while i not winning i aint getting flogged either, i believe cut it off at 1300 then that allows for standard quads ie suzuki and yamaha being lowered and passing under the rules

its all good that people have diferent setups it makes the sport interesting.i know that when i used to run my quad it was standard a arms, quad squad suspension, 25mm wheel spacers, dominator rear axle and the standard front rims turned around and with offset rears and it handled like a dream.i could side around the corner so smooth it was awesome...lol some who had a 1300mm bike didnt like it but it comes down to rider style and for me rider weight...lol _________________ yeah mate nah |
