i just purchased a atomik feral 250 11 months old... when i ride it i hear a very loud metallic rattle...

i pulled off the muffler and the rattle was gone so its definitely in the muffler... any ideas? or how i can fix this?

Is it cracked anywhere, if not rubber mount it where it bolts to the frame, that may help, or it could be loose between the header and the muffler. Or like most Atomik stuff the guts has probably rattled to peices inside muffler and is shaking around in there. Can you hear the rattle in the muffler when you shake it?

just change the muffler to a sports one. probs fixed and will go and sound heaps better.
my wife has one of these as well, we changed the front sprocket, muffler and put a race cdi in it and made it a twist throttle.
for a chinese bike its pretty cool, lifts the front wheels on take off ( just.lol)

does the end cap come off the muffler?

if you can see inside it and see where the loose baffle is put some tek screws threw the outer wall into the inner baffle.

My atomik would lift one wheel, there was that much twist in the frame. Laughing Laughing
