Just trying to get some info. I am looking at buying a 2011 TRX450er. Already got a price from a dealer. However I have googled the 2011 model for reviews etc and cannot find anything about the bike. What I have read is it seems like they discontinued the 450 in 2009, and are waiting to bring out an updated model. So are there 2011 TRX450's?? or are they leftover models before the new version.

According to the latest Dirt Wheels (October 2011) 2013 will be the year of the new Honda sport 450. They say that the 2012 model will be almost identical to the 2009. From what I understand all new stock are 2009 models.
If your concerned Honda usually place a sticker on the frame with the year of model. Also, if your looking at a particular quad take a look at the VIN.
The 10th digit is the year of manufacture.

I told them I found an add on "Bikesales" that stated "Priced reduced by $2500 on a new 2009 model. (still being advertised on bikeslaes but not in this state. There are no TRX's being advertised in this state. Sorry NSW) He got the book out which had a RRP of $12,500 so without hesitation he said he would do a new model (At the time I presumed 2011 model) for $10k (matching that deal) and wanted me to sign there and then. (this was less than a week ago). However I have since found another add on bikesales which referes you to Rockingham power sports in WA and they are advertsing 2010 TRX450ER for $8990. I enquired on frieght to Sydney and they quoted $1k, so not worth it to me. However I am going back with a copy of the add and seeing what they can do to match. I also enquired about Rockingham Power Sports as another dealer seemed to think at that price they are imported bikes, however Rockingham Power Sports are on Honda Australia's "dealer locator" so I would assume not imported. Do you recon $10k is a good price given they are really 2009 bikes with updated manufactured stickers Cheers

Scott from atvs unlimited in sydney has 09 yamaha yfz450r brand new for $9000 i think . Better than a Honda give him a ring

Yea We only paid $8500 each for our 09 suzuki's last year and they are race ready unlike the honda.
Don't get me wrong i love honda but they have rested on the fact they have a good engine for too long and the bike is way outdated. A 2011 honda is already three years old (released beginning of 09 just rebadged) and yes suzuki and yamaha have done the same but their bikes are fuel injected and race width ready to go, unlike the honda.
