As many people are aware, the future management of the Worimi Conservation Lands (WCL) including the area of Stockton sand dunes which is a Recreation Vehicle Area (RVA) is being considered at the moment and a plan of management will be drafted in the coming months. This will determine how the area will be used and managed over the coming years including any changes to be made to the present use and management of the whole of the National Park including the RVA.
I have been particpating in whatever way I can, including attending meetings organised by National Parks and attended by members of the Board of Management and other stakeholders. I attend those meetings as representative of recreational vehicle users.
It is very clear that the people who wish to use recreational vehicles within the area would be much better off if there was an organisation or club of some sort in place. This is becoming more important now than it ever has been.
