 |
|
G'day,
I am going around in circles with my decision making process. Options below, tell me what you reckon.
Criteria
* used on 100 acres of undulating ground
* 4x2
* CVT Auto
* Can carry stuff
* 8 year old son can graduate to it in a couple of years
Option A - New Polaris Hawkeye 4x2
Pros - $5990 RRP with $500 of free accessories, IRS, Solid Motor, 30kg front rack, 45 kg rear, warranty
Cons - No low/high range, no engine braking system for decents (found conflicting info? Any one help me out?), mixed quality reports
Option B - New Kymco MXU300 4x2
Pros - Found a 2010 model for $4999, low and high range option, 2 year parts/labour warranty at local suzuki dealer
Cons - racks rated to 20kg and 30kg and they are physically small
Option C - Used 2009 Yamaha 350 Grizzly 4x2
Pros - Probably most proven / best quality, only 100hrs, engine braking system for decents, 50kg front / 80kg rear rack
Cons - $6200, no warranty, nil service history, no low / high range
Thoughts?
Cheers.
Dessy. |

Hawkeye, have seen these thing go, and because there's no 450 grizzly option, so its gotta be the hawkeye in a heart beat. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I'd say Hawkeye too... I know that I work at a Polaris dealer but I get to work on Kymco stuff too and the Polaris is by far and away a much better built quad. No they don't have EBS the and CVT in them is more like what you'd find on a 200 cc ATV but still they are very solid. _________________
