Does any one know how much sideways movement a swing arm should have? I rebuilt my swing arm pivot, only 2 rides ago, but now the bearings seem to have some play.

err.. none usually

might be worth checking the tolerances where the pivot bolt goes through the frame.

The inside part of the bearings are actually moving. I am certain that it is the bearings that are stuffed then. Bugger, I have only done 1 round and 1 bush ride on them. Oh well! Sad

I got the ones from JMC. I checked the one I had left over from last time. It doesnt have any movement! the other original was completely distroyed. Both of the JMC ones are stuffed. I cant actually work out how this could of happened! Oh well, I have got a while to work it out, not sure if I can race for a while anyway.

Actually, they are Pivot Works. Did you press them in or knock them in the arm? I will send replacements. Maybe you should install a grease nipple in the centre of the pivot point.

One of my mates did it for me. He knows his stuff though he has been working on his quad a racing it for a few years. I was thinking about putting in a grease nipple. Also greenhuman, I was in no way blaming JMC! I would order through you any day!
