What is the difference between the 450r an the 450x i belive its the width am i right or wrong can anyone tell me the difference between the both.

That is correct the R model is race ready wide and the X model is the cross country model were it is as wide/Narrow as the old style Yamahas so you can get in tight spaces/ trees etc apart from that there the same Smile

So are the Aarms different on the both from the r to the x with the x having the same as the older models like the raptor ?.

the A arms and axel are diffrent to make them narrow . so if you get the x model and want it wide later on down the track you get the R A arms and axel and you gor a R model race bike LOL . So yes the X is the same width as a stock raptor so to speak

they do in the US thats why the model exists. same idea as the KTM SX/XC differences the KTM XC and Yam X models are aimed straight at the rec market there which heaps of people ride the narrower models.
