this has got me a bit puzzled
changed the oil on my 09 ltr450 the other day and went to run it after and it ran for a minute or 2 then stopped, no lights on the dash. checked the main fuse and it had blown. put a new one in and ran fine for the next 5 mins then i turned it off. then went to start it today and no lights on the dash again, main fuse had blown and the battery was down to 5 volts. it doesnt have any engine/electrical mods done to it, except for the front light has been taken out to be replaced with a quadtech beak, the plug is all taped up and cable tied out of the way.
i got the battery on charge now
anyone know whats going on?

charged the battery, new fuse, ran for 30 seconds then blew the fuse. changed fuse and even with the ignition off the fuse was gettin real hot, have to disconnect the battery to not blow the fuse again 
the worst thing is i was supposed to be going riding this arvo and i cant get into the dealer till the 28th of this month

just follow the wiring harness around and look to see if its pinched somewere or worn thru touchn the frame somewere should be a easy find
