Jeffery A rang today asking me fix and service his Can Am as he was refused by Territory Marine. Quads Under 12 months old.

Does Anyone know where U can get Can am serviced in the NT by a qualified person?

I got a local Harley shop to service my Outlander just so happens he's into dirt bikes too, Just like Toyota and Nissan's they try and force you into using the dealer to do your servicing but any Qualified Mechanic using Genuine parts can do it and if push comes to shove Your Mechanic should go into bat for you re:warranty maters. Just a thought
Cheers Mike

the problem with Can-ams is that their electronics are coded with only authorised dealers being able to access fault codes and the like. a normal dealer can still do the air filters etc but cant check ECU problems

Hey Husky, tell him to give me a call. I may have some second hand parts here somewhere to help him out a bit.

What type of electrical issue?

Renegade and Outlander frames are terrible for bending around the front a-arm mounts. Just bought an 09 renegade a few months ago and turns out it had a bent/broken frame that was hidden by the bash plates. $40 for steel and a few hours with grinder/welder and its all good now.

Spot that crack

There it is! Looks like it's been that way for a while.

The proverbial stick up the a**

Some of the damage cut away and the new steel showing

Bubble gum some weld on there

Definitely rip the a-arms off now instead of bending the frame if I hit something hard enough

Thats a pretty hard core design flaw lets hope that only happens after landing some stupidly high jumps.

Jumping will do it but most reports I've read people say catching a rock or tree with a front tire under 20kph is enough to bend it. Like anything else, if there's 10 reports of a problem on the net there's probably 1,000 or 10,000 other quads that have no issues. That's the only problem I've found with it so far, runs great. I love Renegades!

I Run Mudzillas and hit trees and have flexed frames, 20kph !!!!! more like 50kph to do that damage ,Hit a tree with any bike and you will damage the frame or rip a arms off I have fixed Grizz that had a arm ripped off and bent frame also bought renegade that was terminal bend IE : front tyre touching running board about half way back (new Frame)
From the states @ $2700 landed here all i had to do was swap frames
Get a price on a grizz frame $$$$$$$$$ Moral of the story Ride flat out and dont hit trees or Ride to your limit and look after your bike
