Went out for a thrash the other day and i lost my front left wheel.... I was on sand at the time so the injuries were minimal. I concede that they were most likey not tight enough but i was still angry they came off. Does anyone use spring washes on the nuts to prevent this. _________________ 06 YFZ450

| spring washers are fitted standard to some models (normally chinese quads)but usually flat washers and correct tension will do the job |

| when doing them up use a hollow pole big enough to slide over the ratchet or what ever u use to tighten them up just a bit more, your supose to check every bolt after and before every ride,i would'nt like to be going down any hill and seeing my front wheel taking off on me....... |

i wouldn't have thought you need to do them up as tight as to need to extend the ratchet with a pole. |

| good way to snap wheel studs off, just need to be firm, no need to swing off a ratchet, there only alloy wheels to...... |

go to a bolt shop and spend $10 on some nylock nuts, only way to go on anything that runs flat side wheel nuts (i.e. Yam stock or most aftermarket wheels) _________________

I was riding at JAMS, It took me around 2 hours to get there and my wheel came off 40mins into the ride. It happened at the very top of the sand track. On the up side i was able to do some 4wdvin to get the quad out! _________________ 06 YFZ450
