whats every one think, difference between ,motul 5100 and motul 7100?
there both designed for late model 4 stroke race motors.just that the 5100 is an ester based synthetic, and the 7100 is 100 synthetic oil.
i ride a 010 yfz450r, whats every one else run. ?

Choose either one. Just change it regularly.
I use Belray cause it's available and inexpensive.

Was wondering the same, i use 5100 motul, but is there a better oil for engines that share gearbox oil? Change oil every 3 -5 hrs depending on conditions.

I just use Belray thumper, not the ATV one.

Dunno about the Motul products specifically.
But like Feral is doing with the Belray stuff...
I'd use which ever one of the 2 that has the highest viscosity index.
That's the numbers ie 20W-50 instead of 10W-40.
I used the BRP XPS oil, and of there range i use the heavier summer grade all year round.
Winter oils have many world wide markets, but in general, Australia is not one of them.

ah righto, the fella i buy my oils off was saying u gotta run the 7100 blah blah blah buy this off me so to speak, and i wasnt quite sure as this is the first four banger ive had. but that is good to know. so pretty much any of the good brand four stroke synthetic race oils?? and obviously change oil and rinse filter every 5 hours.
