Hi Guys
The sup regs for the 2nd round of the 2007 Qld Quad Supermoto Championships (Sunday 22nd April) are now available from M.Q. or at www.motorcyclesportsmen.com.au , this round will be run in the opposite direction to Rd1.(clockwise)
They are also, for the first time in Australia running BOTH classes of Supermoto Quad as per the 2007 G.C.R.s The two classes :-

Quad Q1 = Upto 550cc two stroke / upto 700cc four stroke ( 1 or 2 Cyl )

Quad Q2 = Upto 300cc two stroke / Upto 450cc four stroke (single Cyl )

The introduction of this class will now allow the smaller capacity quads to race on a level playing field with each other and will hopefully encourage more riders onto the start grid. The common excuse for the quad owning spectator was usually "Ive only got a 450cc, what chance have I got against all those big dollar quads" well the answer is now as simple as it gets, you now have your own class so lets see you support it.
(The Quad Q2 guys can still also race in the Quad Q1 class aswell if the wish)

There is a few of us considering coming up to this one especially now that there is a true 450 class .The 450 class is what the majority of us in NSW have been calling for and the sooner the 450 class is across the board the better it will be for all competing on quads including MX.

Hi Pigz
It would be great if you guys did come up as its going to be an awesome weekend. The Quad Q2 (450cc) class is already going to have to run heats as of lunchtime today we already have fifteen enties and we can only get fourteen on the grid. A lot of the M.X. guys are giving it a go so hopefully they will like it and continue to do supermoto with us. I am flying down to melbourne tomorrow to officiate at the Australian Superbike Championships at Winton and I will be back on deck next monday night (26 th March). I will keep you posted but every body up here is looking forward to some real good racing, also this years "2007 Goldcoast Cup" also has the 450cc quad class aswell as the open class.

TOOLBOX had ordered a 440 kit for his Polaris, so if that is built in time he will join the 450 class.

Hi Todd
The Dirt track /Supermoto open quad class 700cc 4/stroke and 550cc 2/stroke is still a Quad class and still around for those who wish to compete in it. But as you say it is a proven high cost class but if these guys want to poor ridiculous money into their engines then they have that right to do so. This new class however allows people to race their quads at a more sensible cost effective way and hopefully attracting more people to start competing instead of spectating.

P.S. hope both the new arrival and mummy are both doing fine !
