I have not had anything to do with one yet, but they've gotta be a good thing dont they.
They are heavily based on the 250, which is a very conservative sports model.
So i imagine the 125 would be along the same lines.
Yamaha have not taken any silly risks in punching out these models, but at the same time deserve credit for introducing some great new Junior variety to the game.
'Sports' implies it will be pretty cool and 'Conservative' should translate to it being easy, reliable etc etc.
Good luck if you go that way, and throw your review up here Smile

picked up one of these really cheap yesterday due to some Mitre 10 /Bosch giveaway. There are heaps of these unwanted prizes on the market ATM, so bargain hard. Got mine for $3800.

Top little bike for the youngsters. My 11 yr old son migrated from his Raptor 90 to the 125 very quickly. He picked up the basics of gears in 30 min. This bike handles so much better and is quite a bit quicker without being so powerful as to scare or intimidate the kids.

In hindsight I shouldve bought the 125 straight up and skipped the 90.

We picked up an almost new Raptor 125 a couple of weeks ago for just over $3000 to do a build up on thumbpump.com. So far in the workshop we have fox shocks, lonestar a-arms, axle, flexx bars, hand guards and risers, big gun exhaust, Fury tyres, bumper, grab bar and a few other goodies. All parts were locally sourced from Hardiman ATV, Austraco and Quad Squad.
We will begin the build in the next week or so and will post the video's on tp.com as we go. The 125 and 250 are almost identical besides the engine so once you outgrow your 125, take the goodies off and bolt them on a 250.
Keep you posted
