Looking at getting a set of Maier Plastic's from the States, but the freight they want to charge is more than twice the cost of the plastics themselves making it way too expensive.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to go about it?

I bought some off of the same guys on ebay. The zmperformance people that is. For front race cut and back fenders plus front guards cost me $699 shipped to a fed ex depot in perth. I had no hassle with them at all.

pending on the bike, you can pick them up here in Australia for around the same price as getting them from the states.

freight is always a kiiller on large items due the measurements in Cubes

Ask if they could get a shipping quote from USPS rather than UPS or FedEx..........usually about half price.

I bought a full set for a trike off a guy on ebay. He shipped them for $175. It took about 5 weeks to get them though.
