That why you use the $99 one husky ,
Fiardinkum with the $1200 fee, that`s steep, we`ve a mate from vic [2000k] away here riding his new quad [converted him from 2 wheels] and we`re just talking about the gas dash, looking at maps etc ,etc, heard it was more fun than finke, must be good!

Debating whether we do finke or gas dash or both next year, tuff call.

Hey TBR i'm a privateer just like the rest of you.
$1200 is bloody steep. Just what dose $1200 get you? Food? Fuel? Your own grid girl? At least at Safari you can see where the money is going. I have not been to the Gas Dash but have heard alot about it and it sounds similar to Finke and there is no way in hell i'd pay $1200 to enter Finke.
Come over and do Condo awesome 2 day event covering about 750kms all for about $300 entry fee I think

didnt mean to single ya out smitty just seen you have a lot of surpport thats all sorry mate

I think the cams (cars) officals get a lot of the entry i wish i got a grid girl

I did finke in 07 good road trip from Perth Dash is a lot flatter that finke thats for sure the home stretch is flat out love to do some other events out of WA

You should do Hyden next time cant go wrong with $100 entry

TP300 is big, and only $130 entry with $10,000 prize money for quads.

I've heard a lot of good reports from the Gas Dash but I agree that $1200 is pretty pricey for an entry fee.

I agree with Bullet, this year for $130 entry fee at TP300 I came home with over $1500 worth of cash and prizes and it's not like I won the event, some guys pocketed a lot more. Additionally I was blessed with 10 hours of quad riding on a very challenging course, to say the least. In 'Value for Money' terms it's difficult to top.

Yeah but I hear some nut job is running TP the same weekend as Condo next year. That makes things a little hard when we only have limited off road races anyway.

Sorry thread hijack I didn't mean it

In that case cowchaser I would say everyone stick with TP300, because it is quads only and does a lot for us quad riders.

Yeah but TP is closer to me, a quad only event, cheaper to run, a really good event and you can even rub shoulders with Safari legends there too, talked to every rider there this year who rode Safari this year.

QRSA enduro series is also good value we have even had both safari winners there, and a even more of a legend "brenton 213" he needs and want some more competition next year eek .

there is also a one off event planned so wait for that one too Smile

I moved here from WA and in the whole year that I have been here, one "enduro" was planned and then fell through. My personal opinion is that the clubs in Brisbane are very Moto X focused so no one really is working hard to find venues/ land to hold enduro's. The two wheelers seem to have enough Enduro events so if they can find land to race on, why cant the quads?
Or is it down to the "Grey Area" of the Rec Rego?
If you come to think of it, how can one state hold all of the following events:
Australian Safari
Yilgarne Rally
Gash Dash
Hyden
Wooramel 300
Indi 500

and only HYDEN is a quad only event! On top of that it is a "Black " event. There has got to be something special about WA!!!

I told you to move to Darwin ....leaves WA for dead.. 2011 there is a event for quads 34 weekends out of 52 ...

Thats because the clubs up here work together and live to ride..

Can promise you it will be more than a Trail Ride, PM me for more info.

Yeah, Husky, I know you told me mate!
How many of those events that you are bragging about are off road/Enduro? and Bog racing doesnt count.

Just Doing it how long is the loop for your event? We need something more than a 15 minute loop, otherwise we might as well all race moto X!
