Hi
Just looking at buying an atv. I've not had one before and dont really know much about them.
I was looking at the Icebear Stomper-X250 (link below). Has anyone had any experiance with these chinese atv's? For a new one the rrp is $2300. Are they worth this or just a complete waste of money.
Please bear in mind though i am not a hard core ATV rider and am only going to be using it every now and again.

we did the Chinese quad when we 1st got into it as my lad didn’t know if he really wanted to bike or quad and I didn’t want to spend the 25k for 2 jap quads we had 3 Chinese quads, 2 of them tore the rear wheels off them in a 3rd gear corner that was a thrill they also only run rubber swing arm bushes could never keep the chain on the things
we had a lot of problems with them, we bit the bullet and spent the cash and went with 07 trx400 Honda and the difference was night and day we have 450s now which are rockets compared to any Chinese bike and no headaches, so i would save a bit more money and grab a quality bike will save you a lot of agro when the Chinese thing brakes down every time you go out bottom line is there garbage and dangerous be like throwing your 2.2k in the rubish bin trully should be band |

one of my mates has bought a couple of cheap chinese quads and two wheelers for his kids. none of them have really fallen apart with semi regular trail riding and one of the two wheelers lasted over two years before it was serviced and had no problems.
it really comes down to how hard your gonna ride it. if you might go hard omn it its prob worth getting a major brand bike. if just for a bit of messing around and driving around a farm you'll prob be fine. most parts on the chinese bikes can be replaced by jap parts anyway when they break as they usually copy major brand parts just with a cheaper build quality |
