Hi all as i only know the yamaha near backwards the yfz 450 motor.

Do you buy a new motor or build from scratch with all new parts.

well any way my last monster motor with all gen yamaha parts in plastic.

top to bottom, hope it goes better then the last one.

qurinidi mx track coimg soon test time again.

Thats a nice looking motor, should go pretty hard too. I am thinking about a few years down the track building something for my bike. I figure if you have a bike that had everything else on it but was still older with a new engine in it should be as good if not better than a new one just because it has the rest of the stuff on it.

No I bought my quad and didn't know the history of the motor so rebuilt it. Bought all the parts from USA and did it myself. Runs sweet as now.

thanx i started un rapping then took a pic or 2 . all gearbox parts as well the lot all new to project . to spec so i say may be blue printed.

like the new quad i throw 70% away and add the best.

same with the motor about 3x more.

Please tell me you're having the crank etc balanced before you assemble it. It's the usual downfall of the YFZ motor if you don't.

how much power have u been getting out off the motor ?

i have a yfz450r and a 488cc ice cube big bore kit and the keep stuffing up .have u had any problems with yours???

last motor lasted 4 years and i pulled it a part, as a new in side see the pics on oz atv. Only thing that went wrong in one motor was the piston slit in half.
